I finally watched the TED talk by Sir Ken Robinson last week that @ColeySims had recommended some time ago. Glad I did. He put to words so many of the feelings I've had about our education system, and to a larger extent our society in general. And he does it with such a smart wit, he's a treat to watch.
My Spidey senses light up anytime someone or some (insert name of large institutionalized organization here) tells me "don't be creative, just do it our way". I credit this with keeping my creativity largely intact all this time, which I'm grateful for.
